The Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church is celebrating 73 years of ministry in Hamilton, Ohio (1938-20011). The church was organized on July 9, 1938 as the First United Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio, under the authority of the New Salem Baptist Church of London, Kentucky. Buckner Bowling was the first pastor. The church later moved to 414 South Eleventh Street, and became the Eleventh Street Baptist Church. The church purchased property on Wrenwood Drive, and built the present sanctuary and two-story educational building in 1965. The church then became the Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church. In 1976, the gymnasium and additional classrooms were built.
Pastor Emeritus Dr. I. D. Riddick, and his wife Nina served here faithfully from 1963 to 1983. The church grew spiritually, numerically, and financially. The Christian school was founded in the early 1970's. All of the present buildings were completed under Dr. Riddick's leadership. Dr. Riddick passed away Sept. 17, 2009.
